2007 - 2008

It was thanks to a contact with Sister Pinuccia, a Salesian Sister at “Istituto Elvetico di Lugano”, and to the extraordinary meeting between the Braglia family and Sister Pina (Giuseppina Riotti) who has been living in Ethiopia for many years, that the idea to support the project ‘UNA SCUOLA AD ADDIS ABEBA IN ETIOPIA’ (a school in Addis Abeba in Ethiopia) came to mind, with the aim to build a new school for the poorer outskirts of the city of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia: the Auxilium School in Bole Bulbula.

2011

The enthusiasm and the commitment of the Braglia family attract the curiosity of friends, acquaintances and people close to the theme of the international development and education. The growing dimensions of the project and the increasingly wider horizons which they wish to reach, make it clear that something more complex and vast are emerging. The Foundation New Flower in Africa is established with the help of the lawyer, Mr. Bottini and of Monsignor Grampa.

2013

The Foundation steps beyond the boundaries of Ethiopia and starts a new collaboration in South Sudan with the Salesian Sisters operating in the village of Tonj where the conflict jeopardises the possibility to create a real, safe school.

2014 - 2015

The Foundation, already active for three years, while carrying out the activities in South Sudan and Ethiopia, has added further projects in other two African States: the Republic of Congo and Gabon.

2016

The April 20th 2016 New Flower in Africa has been officially admitted to FOSIT.
