PROJECT
Domenico Savio High School, Tiè Tiè
The Domenico Savio school complex was built in 3 separated modules. The first set, financed by a German organization, includes the ground floor committed to the education primary cycle. The second floor belongs to the second module, where other classrooms were built with the support of NFA. The third module is still missing, and its construction will take care of the last three grades of high school. This part will also be financed by NFA.
REASONS TO INTERVENE
The students that started their education in the Domenico Savio complex are currently finishing their primary cycle of studies. It is therefore necessary to build the high school facilities in order to give them the possibility to close the entire cycle of their education in the same complex.
NUMBER OF DIRECT/INDIRECT BENEFICIARIES
The direct beneficiaries will be the 238 students that will access the high school studies, their teachers and, indirectly, their parents.
THE COUNTRY
The city of Pointe Noire, where two projects of NFA are located, is the second most inhabited city of Congo (969,000 inhabitants in 2015) and it is considered to be the economic capital city of the Country.
