The project aims at financing the construction of a student building for 2 years IT courses for local women between the ages of 18 and 35. These courses are fundamental for people seeking employment. Mary Help College is famed for its high level of teaching and renowned Diploma which facilitates employment and admission to University.
The final stages of construction will be completed in 2020.
The need to create a structure within the campus was born as a result of the rise in the rate of drop-out of studies, especially by girls, due to the difficulties in attending courses, often, girls from poor families are forced to find economic accommodation and end up in insecure and unhealthy places.
200 women aged between 18 and 35.
Dilla, home to the Nuovo Fiore in Africa project, is located in the southern region of the country and is the administrative capital of the Gedeo Region.
With its growing economy derived from the surrounding coffee plantations, the hospital, and university, Dilla is a magnet for kids that leave the country-side seeking work and a diploma of education, despite the increased levels of exposure to risk, particularly for young females.
