PROJECT

Computers for the technical school

Computer use is fundamental in order to enter the world of work and for this reason, most technical schools, or TVET, include that discipline among their subjects. Specifically, this tool is essential within the course of IT.

REASONS TO TAKE ACTION

Unfortunately the students attending the school are many and using the computer for long hours cause a quick deterioration. Change the computer that no longer worked and increase their number was crucial to the continuation of the course. The Computer classroom is currently in use, and students can not only learn during school hours but also practice in order to face the many examinations during the school year and the final exam which provide the diploma in IT.

DIRECT AND INDIRECT BENEFICIARIES
The College annually accepts about 70 – 100 students, both girls than boys, which meet the criteria useful for access to the technical school. The majority of the students come from very poor families since the admission fee is lower than the surrounding schools just for ease the entry. Beneficiaries are also teachers, students’ families and the whole community.
COUNTRY

The town of Zway, where there are two projects of New Flower in Africa, is located in the southern region of Oromia and lies on the western shore of the namesake Lake. Zway is an important crossroads on the road that connects Addis Abeba with Nairobi and has some important industries. Nevertheless, it hasn’t recorded a real economic expansion. For this reason, its inhabitants are still living in a condition of extreme poverty.
