In 2015 we launched the “The Girls of Mpaka” project, which led to the construction of the third floor of the educational center dedicated to vulnerable young women in the Mpaka neighborhood of Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo. This peripheral, densely populated area is marked by precarious housing, high youth unemployment, and limited access to educational services, especially for girls.
Thanks to the expansion of the facility, the center was able to accommodate around 95 young women, offering schooling and vocational training programs, literacy courses, practical skills training, and a safe residence for 25 girls. The intervention also included psychosocial support, the issuance of professional certificates (PSC and CAP), the awarding of 5 scholarships, and the start of economic autonomy pathways in tailoring, catering, and care services.
In a context where poverty and female school dropout are structural obstacles to development, this project offered a real alternative to marginalization, strengthening the role of young women as active agents of change within the Mpaka community.
Empowering women means providing tools and opportunities to strengthen autonomy, skills, and active participation in society. Through training and concrete support, we help women become protagonists of change in their communities.

Mpaka is a peripheral neighborhood of Pointe-Noire, a coastal city and major economic center in the country. The area is inhabited by young and supportive communities with strong social vitality, evident in local markets and daily life. At the same time, many families face severe difficulties related to poverty, limited access to basic services, and few stable job opportunities. Mpaka thus represents a context where community energy and structural fragility coexist, reflecting the typical urban challenges of African peripheral areas.
With the goal of supporting basic education and vocational training, the Foundation invests in infrastructure and initiatives addressing educational challenges such as the empowerment of girls and women.
Each project is developed in collaboration with local communities and aims to promote education, personal growth, and sustainable development.
