The “Domenico Savio School Complex” project began in 2014 in the Tié-Tié neighborhood of Pointe-Noire, one of the main urban centers in the Republic of Congo. Located in a densely populated area, Tié-Tié has a strong demand for educational services due to rapid population growth and internal migration linked to the city’s port and industrial activity.
The initiative was launched to address the significant deterioration of the local school system, which suffered from overcrowding, a lack of adequate facilities, and low rates of primary school completion. In a context where more than 30% of children do not finish basic education, this school represents a real and safe alternative.
We supported the construction of a complete school complex, initially focused on the primary school and later expanded to include secondary education, covering the final three years of high school. The aim was to ensure a continuous educational pathway within the same facility, enabling students to continue their schooling in a familiar, well-equipped, and quality environment.
Today, the Domenico Savio School serves as an important educational hub for more than 230 students, with a positive impact on hundreds of families. The project has helped improve the quality of secondary education in a setting where many students previously dropped out due to a lack of adequate school infrastructure.
Educational infrastructure is at the heart of our work in Africa: without safe classrooms, appropriate spaces, and modern tools, learning remains a privilege for only a few.

Tié-Tié is a popular neighborhood of Pointe-Noire, the second-largest city in the country and an important Atlantic port hub. The area features a young and dynamic population with strong community spirit. However, widespread poverty, limited essential services, and few job opportunities pose daily challenges for many families. Tié-Tié thus reflects a context where social vitality and economic fragility coexist.
With the goal of supporting basic education and vocational training, the Foundation invests in infrastructure and initiatives addressing educational challenges such as the empowerment of girls and women.
Each project is developed in collaboration with local communities and aims to promote education, personal growth, and sustainable development.
